FORMER PRESIDENT OBASANJO PREDICTS THAT GEN. BUHARI WILL BE NEXT NIGERIA PRESIDENT

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has predicted that Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari will be elected on 28 March as Nigeria’s new president, to succeed incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan. At the same time, he dismissed fears of any election annulment as it happened in 1993 under the Babangida administration when the election of Moshood Kashimawo Abiola was annulled by the military junta. Obasanjo spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun state today, when he met a group that styles itself, Concerned Citizens of Nigeria. According to the former Nigerian leader, there will never be a repeat of what happened in the country in 1993 after the Presidential election.

Obasanjo declared that he has confidence in the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammed Buhari because he is a trained military officer. The group called on the former President to intervene in the country’s looming political crisis before matters degenerate

A naked teenager stabbed his mother 11 times and reportedly cut off his own penis after he got high on drugs in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England, UK. HOUSE OF REPS MEMBERS DECIDE ON JEGA'S REMOVAL

Following reports that the presidency is planning to remove the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof ASource; iru Jega before the general election scheduled to hold on March 28, the House of Representatives has passed a resolution on the purported move.

According to a motion sponsored by Rep Ali Ahmed (APC, Kwara), the lawmakers said any action by the federal government or any other agency to tamper with the present status quo of the conduct of the election would spell doom for the country.

Daily Trust reports online that members of the House agreed that any individual or association who moved for the removal of the INEC chairman ahead of the polls should be held accountable, as that would create chaos in the land.

TOO BAD!!! NANNY STUFFS 10-MONTH-OLD 'NOISY' BABY IN DRAWER WHILE WATCHING TV

A Zimbabwean nanny has bagged 22 years jail term for the murder of a 10-month-old baby she stuffed into a drawer “for crying too much” before she settled down to watch TV. Violet Moyo, 22, was sentenced on Thursday after being found guilty of murder over what the judge said was a “very cruel and brutal” death, the state-run Chronicle newspaper reported. Moyo, from Zimbabwe’s second city of Bulawayo, was left in charge of the baby boy while the parents went to work and had fed him and put him to bed. But the child woke up after five hours and started crying, the prosecution said.

Moyo tried in vain to calm the boy and in frustration, she wrapped him in a blanket, stuffed him in a linen drawer and shut it while she went to watch a film on television. She went to check on the child after three hours and found he was dead, the newspaper said on Friday.
