Wizkid’s
twit-fights are garnering more popularity than his hit songs nowadays.
The former EME star was in a recent twitfight with former label mate
Skales.
Before
the fight, Wizkid came under attack from the Twitter denizens over his
post that he would like to sing with Nigeria international artiste Asa.
The slew of insults thrown at him was destabilising. Then came the
Twitter rumble with Skales.
In the past, fellow entertainers have had one or two spats with the musician; Samklef, Davido and others. With all these, one can’t help but wonder why so much hatred for the artiste?

Wizkid
hit the limelight when Banky W signed him on his label Empire Mates
Entertainment in 2009. His hit single in 2010, ‘Holla at Your Boy”, made
the young man the new sensation at the time.
He rode to stardom with a crafty combination of young innocent love and bad boy looks and Yoruba lingo. He was the name on everyone’s lips and this spurred others to follow in his footsteps.

In
2013, rumours were rife about his split from EME, and same year, Wizkid
started his own record label Starboy Entertainment. Wizkid has been
blessed with a plethora of awards in his music career including a BET
award.
No doubt, his rise to stardom is meteoric. However, could it be that he is intoxicated by this new found pride? This seems to be the crux of the fight with Skales.

Skales,
who had taken to Twitter to ask his fans of artistes they would like to
see in his upcoming album, got envious or was it desperation for some
Wizkid anointing when his fans mentioned Wizkid’s name.
What started as an ordinary conversation ended in a volcanic exchange of insults and accusations. Skales accused the other of being too arrogant. It is not the first time that a fellow entertainer will label the Starboy CEO arrogant, but going by his success in the music industry, could it be that he is simply envied?
