On Monday, April 1, Chris Brown said ‘I lost everything’ following
his violent assault on Rihanna a few years ago. It’s one Brown’s most
direct responses to questions about the 2009 incident that changed both
the lives of Brown and Rihanna.
Speaking to Matt Lauer on TV’s “Today” show, Chris Brown got very
open and honest about how his life has been altered following his
assault on Rihanna.
Admitting that he has been humbled by the situation, the 23-year-old
R&B singer told Lauer the following today on television:
"I've been humbled by the whole experience," Brown, 23, told Lauer.
"From me losing everything, you know, to me having to regain public
opinion or whatever it is -- but most importantly, you know, knowing
that what I did was totally wrong and having to kind of deal with myself
and kind of forgive myself in the same breath and being able to
apologize to, you know, Rihanna and be that man that can be who is a
man, you know?"
Brown and Rihanna have recently been linked together, as paparazzi
have spotted the couple and snapped pictures of the R&B stars.
Directly addressing his relationship with Rihanna now—who Brown was
ordered away from years ago by a judge—Chris says that “everything’s
good.”
Despite Brown and Rihanna having been involved in music for years,
they’re both quite young. While Brown is just 23-years-old, Rihanna is
also only 25.
